With the ColdZone system, your hot tub becomes a cool place for the kids to swim and play* during the day or a place for you to relax and unwind after working in the yard on a hot summer day.
The ColdZone system also helps improve energy efficiency during normal hot tub operation, because it can reduce the amount of time the standard heater runs in order to keep the water hot.
With ColdZone you can chill the water to as low as 60 degrees. For serious athletes, the option to bring the temperature of the water way down can mean soothing relief for muscles after an intense workout.
A hot tub is a wonderful thing especially during those colder months of the year, but what about during the hot summer months when sitting in a cool tub can be just as enjoyable? Especially if you live in a part of the country where temperatures are above 100 degrees for several months out of the year? The thing about a hot tub is aside from lowering the temperature on your control system and the ambient air temperature being at or below your set temperature there is no way of cooling a hot tub. In lay terms, a typical hot tub is designed to heat and raise water temperature not cool it. For example, most people use their hot tubs between 100-104 degrees, however, if you want to reduce the temperature to 90 degrees you can adjust it down on your control pad, however, the water will only cool to the ambient air temperature outside so if it is a 100 degree day then the hot tub won’t drop in temperature below that. Hot tub owners have done trivial things like putting in bags of ice to cool the hot tub but that can be tedious and costly not to mention only temporary. Thanks to some innovations in recent years you now have a choice to make your hot tub a cold tub. With the cooling system that Sunset Spas provides we will be able to allow you to use your tub all year around!

All i can say is shop around and then go see this guy (no, i did not get paid to say this).
I purchased a Vital spa brand and it looks and works great! The part I like about it is that the frame is metal and there is no foam. I learned the hard way with my previous spa that rats get in there and nest since the water is warm underneath (gross right!), and so far this one stays exceptionally clean thanks to the free chemicals I received and no rodents! Thanks again Todd if you read this. read less

Back then, we bounced from place to place in the central and east valley, but, kept coming back to Sunset Spas because their sales reps seemed real and the information they relayed to us as buyers to appear honest. We were happy with the overall sales experience - delivery was easy and they even worked to get the hot tub installed on our timeline before Christmas but after we had a new paver patio installed for it to set on (which from purchase to delivery was less than two weeks).
Fast forward almost two years later and the entire hot tub appeared to be causing the electrical circuit to blow. After an electrician was able to identify it likely to be with the hot tub itself, we had the warranty folks come out to look at it. The blower for the 'champagne bubbles' kept tripping, causing the entire system to trip. So, they replaced the blower at no cost (under warranty). A few days later, the same thing happened - the circuit kept tripping.
To make a long story short, it was determined that it wasn't actually the blower that was at fault, but, a micro-crack in the shell of the hot tub itself, which was causing water to drop onto the blower, causing it to trip the circuit. We unplugged the blower (inside the hot tub housing) and there were no issues using the rest of the hot tub. Of course - "we've never seen something like this, the shell is never the issue, but, I can clearly see a micro-crack," the rep said.
While it did take about three months and some continuous reminders on my end (and I think the original warranty employee I had been talking to had left the company), Sunset/Vita/MAXX ended up replacing the entire hot tub. From a 2016 model to a new 2018 model - and this was not something I had requested. They admitted to it likely be a manufacturing mistake and wanted to inspect the original hot tub to learn from their mistakes and improve. I was impressed by this approach - both from a customer service standpoint as well as the fact that the company wanted to learn from a mistake rather than run from it.
I would 100% recommend MAXX/Vita as well as Sunset Spas! read less
